Time goes so fast

The elder woman is walking to her car, but it is buried in dirt to indicate that it has been in that spot for quite some time (another thing that hints this is the old car model.) The house and stop sign are on pieces of scrap paper to show that they are memories, and non existant any more. The stop sign represents where a road used to be before it was abandoned. The house and stop sign don't cast shadows because they no longer exist. Since the foot prints coming from the house are still new and visible, it seems as though the woman had just started her walk to her car to imply how your whole life can pass you by without you even realizing you are getting any older. Another minor detail to support this is that I purposelly made sure that the shape and spacing of the footprints would fit someone who is younger and more agile than the older woman.
